Hemroids is a very common affliction that affects anyone regardless of gender, age, or race. To recognize your symptoms of hemroid, you need to know what hemroids is.

Usually, hemroids is caused by constipation due to a variety of reasons such as wrong diet and lifestyle. When a person is constipated, he will tend to feel uncomfortable, bloated, and irritable – that is, until he is  able to move his stools. Most often, people who are constipated force the stool out and this causes tears on the skin and even a blood vessel or two bursting from the pressure. As a result you either get painful wounds or start bleeding. Sometimes, both happen at the same time.

This brings us to hemroid symptoms to help you recognize whether you do have hemroids or not. They are any or all of the symptoms listed below:

•    Bleeding or spotting especially when you are trying to move your bowels. The bleeding can even be continuous for several minutes before it stops. Then, when you try to contract your anal muscles, it could start all over again.
•    A lump forming along the sides of the anal hole which can or cannot be filled with pus. If it is, then it is painful and tender. A slight touch can trigger nerve endings that make moving your bowels very uncomfortable.
•    Difficulty  in sitting or lying down
•    Itching
•    Inflammation

These hemroid symptoms can be alleviated with a few home treatments such as:

•    Sitz bath which is sitting your rear end only in warm water. You can add baking soda or salt if you want
•    Anti-inflammatory ointments or baby diaper rash ointments
•    Pain relievers
•    More fiber in your diet
•    Infrared lamp
•    Warm or cold compress

These are just some of the home cure treatments you can do right away. You can also buy hemroid treatments which are sold over the counter in almost all supermarket, pharmacy or drugstore near you. If the hemroid bleeds, however, you have to consult with one of the hemroid doctors in your area right away for appropriate treatment.
