If you’re child comes home smelling of cigarettes, it’s not the end of the world, but it could be. In this little article I hope to outline some strategies that you can put in place that will help you get your kid/s off smoking. One good way of encouraging your kids not to smoke is to ring the local hospital and to ask whether you could visit some patients in the cancer ward who have cancer due to smoking. This is one good way you can scare the kids, particularly if they are highly sensitive to other people’s needs. People that have parts of their throats removed will be unfortunately in many ways, motivational forces that will strongly discourage and form of tobacco usage amongst your young kids.
Another good way of helping your kid’s get of the cigarettes is to offer them cash rewards if they’re able to stop smoking. Cash rewards that they could use to study overseas, or to throw a party. A lot of the time we have to get back to basic classical conditioning in order to bring about the outcomes that we won’t. Humans can be trained, and this is one way that this can be done.
Another good means to help them stop smoking is to strongly punish them if they choose to continue to smoke. What this means is, is that they are banned from going to friends houses or parties. The good thing is, the statistics show that less and less people are opting to smoke, particularly young people because it is filtering through the messages. The messages that pertain to the fact that smoking is expensive and that it is designed to kill. The good thing is our governments are heading in the direction of banning smoking all together and this will continue to be the case in the years ahead.
